Welcome to The Hotel Folk
We’re called The Hotel Folk for two reasons. First, we’re the experts in providing great service and second we’re a community of Folk obsessed with looking after you, our guests. Whilst we can guarantee you a Hotel Folk welcome in each of our six hotels they all offer a unique charm of their own; wherever you choose you can expect wonderful accommodation and excellent dining, set in some of the county’s most outstanding locations.
Two of our six hotels are situated in Aldeburgh, the perfect seaside holiday destination on the stunning Suffolk coast. The ideal place to enjoy a Fishers Gin on our beach front terrace at The Brudenell or a refreshing cocktail in our lounge at The White Lion.
A short distance from Aldeburgh lies our Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel, where you can enjoy a round of golf at our award-winning 18 hole James Braid course.
Moving slightly inland you’ll find the beautiful village of Orford; The Crown and Castle is an ideal base for those interested in walks, sailing, history or simply wanting to relax, whatever activity you choose fabulous food awaits your return.
Just 12 miles from Orford is the vibrant market town of Woodbridge. Centred around the River Deben, The Crown is the perfect base for some retail therapy along the Thoroughfare.
Finally, the charming medieval wool town of Lavenham is home to the iconic Swan hotel and Spa where you can explore the historic crooked houses and listed buildings. The Swan is also home to Weavers’ House Spa, one of the most luxurious and intimate boutique spas in Suffolk.
